“I am revived after attending the Advanced course, remembering what I love about this job – and wanting to do a better job!"

The Advanced Curriculum on Medical Direction in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (Advanced) will not take place in 2017, and will return in 2018. As the Society rolls out the updated version of the Core Curriculum on Medical Direction in Post-Acte and Long-Term Care, content for the 2018 Advanced program will be created as a complement to the Core. Information about the 2018 Advanced program will be released in January of 2018.

The Advanced Curriculum on Medical Direction in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (Advanced) is specifically geared to the needs of experienced health care practitioners who provide management and clinical care services in the post-acute and long-term care (PA/LTC) environment. Content is applicable to any setting or combination of settings across the PA/LTC continuum. The course provides practical insights and tools with implications for immediate implementation upon return home. Participation in the Advanced Curriculum Course is also an excellent way to earn required education hours for recertification as an ABPLM Certified Medical Director (CMD).
